Charging Unit
• Use the charging unit only in dry environments in a closed area. Protect from rain, snow, inflammable
materials, excessive heat and/or moisture.
• Do not connect the charging unit to an extension cable.
• Do not excessively bend the mains cable or place any heavy objects on it; do not pull, drag or strain the
cable.
• Do not use the charging unit if the cable has been severed or the batteries and/or the 4-chamber
charging unit have been dropped or damaged.
• Do not used damaged charging units, do not disassemble the charging unit or modify any parts of the
charging unit.
• Do not use unapproved power supply units, and do not charge damaged batteries.
• Do not bring metallic objects into contact with the metal parts of the DC connectors on the charging unit
or the battery contacts.
4.3.4
Charging the Batteries on the Headlight
The headlight battery packs or 4-bay charger console may warm up during charge mode.
This is normal and not a malfunction. Avoid skin contact to these areas during these times.
On either sides of the headlight, one single battery can be used or charged. If two batteries are inserted,
they are discharged or charged, respectively, at the same time. If only one battery is connected (active), the
LED indicators flash.
If the batteries are being charged in the headlight, the USB charging unit requires approx. 6.5 h.
Application
• Insert the Micro-B USB connector (2) into the socket (with the marking ) of the headlight (1).
• Connect the normal USB connector (3) either to the 5 V plug-in power supply (4), or to a USB port on a
computer.
