l Contact your midwife or breastfeed-
ing and lactation consultant if you can
express only minimal or no milk or if
expression is painful.

l Always disconnect the Symphony from
the power source after expression.

l Do not kink the tubing during expression.
l Press the "Let down" button
revert from the expression phase to
the stimulation phase if necessary. If
milk has not begun to flow after two
successive stimulation phases, take a
break and try again in 15–30 minutes.
Try breast massage (ask your lactation
consultant or doctor) and then pump
using the Expression Phase.
l The program stores the last vacuum
setting in the stimulation phase.
l Double pumping saves time and in-
creases the energy content of the milk.
Milk production may be increased and
maintained long-term.
