During use

GB 8
• This appliance is only intended for household use. Only use it for
preparing food.
• Keep children at a safe distance from the oven during baking
or roasting. The oven becomes hot during use. Only touch the
elements and the interior once the oven has cooled down fully.
• The outside of the oven can become warm after the oven has been
used at high temperatures over a long period. The oven window
can also become hot if the oven is used at maximum temperature
for a long period (e.g. when grilling). Take care if children are nearby.
• The oven has optimum insulation. In spite of this there is always
some heat transfer which results in the outside of the appliance
heating up. This level of heating up falls well within the permissible
standards.
• The oven has a fan which cools the oven shell. The fan may
continue to run for a while after the oven has been switched off.
• Check that the appliance has been switched off before you replace
the bulb in order to avoid the risk of an electric shock.
• Do not place any oven accessories on the open oven door.
• Keep the oven door closed during baking and roasting.
• Be careful if opening the door during baking as the hot steam may
escape.
• Do not keep any flammable material in the oven.
• Take care when preparing dishes which contain alcohol. Alcohol
vapour can catch fire if it comes into contact with hot oven parts at
high temperatures.
• Never heat closed tins. Overpressure will develop in the tin which
can result in it exploding.
• Always prepare deep frozen dishes such as pizza on a rack.
The baking tray may distort as a result of the large temperature
differences which develop on it.
• Never cover the oven floor with aluminium foil. Aluminium foil
retains heat and thus leads to poor baking results. The enamel of
the oven floor may also be damaged.
• Ensure that the dishes are always heated sufficiently. The time
which is necessary for this depends on many factors like the
quantity and the type of dish. Any bacteria which may be present in
the food are only killed if the food is heated for a minimum of
10 minutes at a temperature over 70 °C. Allow the food to cook for a
