4.4.2
Switch outputs LL1 / LL2, pump enable and Alarm
• The switch outputs LL1 and LL2 can be used for the enable signal.
• The switch output for pump enable can be used as enable signal for dosing pumps.
• The ALARM relay output can be used as a collective fault signal. The alarm sets off an internal
buzzer, and an external buzzer as an option. The alarm output is switched off by pressing the
QUIT button.
Connexx Basic (182603):
• Empty signal contact LL1/2 to X1, terminal 6 + 8 (make contact); open, if container 1 is empty.
• Enable contact PUMP Enable to X1, terminal 9 + 11 (make contact); open, if level switch is
downwards or 5 seconds after falling down.
• ALARM to X1, terminal 3 + 5 (make contact) open, if there is no malfunction (short circuit,
interruption) or empty signal (container 1) is present.
Connexx Switch (182604):
• Empty signal contact LL1/2 to X1, terminal 6 + 8 (make contact); open, if container 1 and / or
container 2 is empty
• Enable contact PUMP Enable to X1, terminal 9 and 11 (make contact) open, if level switch is
downwards or 5 seconds after falling down.
• ALARM to X1, terminal 3 + 5 (make contact) open, if there is no malfunction (short circuit,
interruption) or empty signal from container 1 and 2 is present.
The empty signal output remains in place for such time until both containers are both
NOTE
completely signalled by pressing a button (LL1 and LL2).
Empty containers must always initially be replaced by full containers prior to acknowledging
LL1 and LL2.
If a container is released again by pressing a button without it being replaced by a full one
prior to this then the empty signalling will be activated once again following a renewed time
sequence.
The control cannot automatically recognise the filling level of the container. Only those
NOTE
containers, from which a sufficient amount of the product cannot be withdrawn in the set
time, are recognised as being empty.
4.4.3
Operation and displays
The control unit contains 4 LED displays for ON, empty signal LL1, empty signal LL2 and
collective fault signal (Quit).
The main switch on the left side interrupts the power supply.
The push buttons LL1, LL2 and Quit are used to acknowledge the empty and error signals.
Fig. 4.11
ON:
green, with presence of mains voltage and mains switch set to ON
LL1:
green, if container 1 active
LL2:
green, if container 2 active
Quit:
Red if container is empty; at container change over: if container 1 and 2 are empty
Permanent red light at LL1, LL2 or QUIT (following acknowledgement) means "short circuit
or interruption at the solenoid valve outputs!". LL1 = control valve container 1,
CAUTION
LL2 = control valve container 2, Quit = solenoid valve (air). In this case the operation of the
device should be stopped immediately until the malfunction is removed (see chapter
Troubleshooting).
