6.1.6
Setting the communication for compressor
start in FI operation
The switch-on process of a compressor with FI differs
from direct starting modes: The FI will report the cut-in
time to the CM-SW-01 via the auxiliary relay K18 "FI
outputs power voltage/rotating field to motor". This sig-
nal will start important timers for operating and monitor-
ing functions. This is an essential requirement in partic-
ular for the oil solenoid valve of HS.95 and OS.95 com-
pressors.
The auxiliary relay K19 "safety chain enabled" is a
message from the CM-SW-01 to the FI. It activates the
STO of the FI in case of wrong rotation direction or
phase failure and when the compressor motor starts
too late.
▶ Connect the start signal (K01) as normally open
(NO) contact to the FI.
Alternatively, the start signal can also be sent to the
module via Modbus and passed on to the FI via the
output on terminal strip CN2 terminal 1.
▶ Connect auxiliary relay K18 in the safety chain to ter-
minal strip CN2 terminal 3 upstream of the input of
the safety chain on CM-SW-01.
▶ Connect auxiliary relay K18 also as normally open
(NO) contact to terminal strip CN11, terminal 1, and
to terminal strip CN14, terminal 3. For OS.85 com-
pressors, the auxiliary relay can also be connected
to CN9:1 or CN7:5 as an alternative to CN14:3; con-
nect it in any case against a 24 V signal from the
compressor module.
▶ Connect auxiliary relay K19 to terminal strip CN2 ter-
minal 2.
▶ Connect auxiliary relay K19 also as normally open
(NO) contact to the STO of the FI.
Retrofitting a measuring cable for rotation direction
monitoring
The rotation direction monitoring can only be retrofit-
ted to 2-pole motors with 2900 to 3000 min
50 Hz.
Quality of the measuring cables:
Preferably, use a three-wire measuring cable 7 mm
in outer diameter.
The permitted current intensity for each wire must be
greater than the selected fuse.
Observe the required voltage resistance and sheath
quality.
Properties of the three fuses:
Select a rated breaking capacity for sufficiently safe
disconnection in case of short-circuit.
ST-150-4
▶ Preferably, route the three-wire measuring cable
through the unused plug of the multiple screw con-
nection through which the solenoid valve cables are
also routed.
▶ Preparing the measuring cables: To allow insertion
of the cable ends into the CM-SW-01, equip them
with a non-insulated 6.3 mm quick-connect recept-
able.
▶ Insert one measuring cable each into the fixed con-
nectors located under the L1, L2 and L3 marks on
the CM-SW-01. To do so, use pointed flat pliers.
▶ Secure each measuring cable in the motor terminal
box with a fuse (F08).
▶ Connect one cable each to a phase of the power
voltage supply of the motor: Cable L1 to phase L1,
cable L2 to phase L2 and cable L3 to phase L3.
6.1.7
Connecting the high pressure switch
electrically
▶ Connect to terminal strip CN3.
▶ When the high pressure switch is not connected to
CN3: Connect contacts CN3:1 and CN3:2 with a
bridge.

6.2 Optional electrical connections

To CN4
If with HS.95 and OS.95, the solenoid valve in the oil
injection line (M40) is used:
▶ Connect solenoid valve (M40) to terminal strip CN4.
➙ It is then switched by the compressor module.
OS.85 compressors:
▶ A solenoid valve (M41) or relay can be connected
here, for oil return from the secondary oil separator.
Maximum power consumption of solenoid coil o relay,

at
cable quality and available cable bushings into the
module housing see chapter Technical data, page 35.
The oil heater is connected at CN4 in the case of the
CSW105 with 230 V voltage supply (standard scope of
delivery). The oil heater can be switched on and off by
the compressor module as needed.
To CN5
This terminal strip is not used.
