6 Connecting cables
Electrically connect the compressor module in accord-
ance with the schematic wiring diagrams. Observe the
safety standards EN60204-1, IEC60364 and national
safety regulations.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Before working on the module housing and
electrical lines: Switch off the main switch and
secure it against being switched on again!
Close the module housing before switching on
again!
NOTICE
!
!
The compressor module may be damaged or
fail!
Never apply any voltage to the terminals of CN7
to CN12 – not even for test purposes!
The voltage applied to the terminals of CN13
must not exceed 10 V!
The voltage applied to terminal 3 of CN14 must
not exceed 24 V! Do no apply voltage to the
other terminals!
Never apply voltage to the voltage outputs, not even for
testing.
6.1 Required electrical connections to CM-SW-01
▶ Remove the module housing cover.
6.1.1
Module power connection at terminal strip
CN1
• 115 .. 230 V +10%/-15%, 50/60 Hz, see chapter
Compressor module (K03), page 35.
▶ Connect L at terminal 1.
▶ Connect N at terminal 2.
6.1.2
Input signal of the safety chain
▶ Connect safety chain to terminal strip CN2, terminal
3.
▶ Integrate the compressor module as the last link in
the safety chain.
CM-SW-01 before serial number
815294000305LDXXXXXXX (previous version)
In the previous compressor modules, terminal CN2:3
also serves to detect the start signal from the superior
controller (K01).

6.1.3
Motor contactors
Connect all motor contactors to terminal strip CN2 ac-
cording to the wiring diagrams.
6.1.4
Command for compressor start
The start signal from the superior controller (K01) must
be passed on to the compressor module. It activates
the timer for the motor contactors Q02, Q03 and Q04
and is necessary for further monitoring functions.
▶ Switch start signal (K01) as normally open (NO) con-
tact and connect:
to terminal strip CN11, terminal 1 and to terminal
strip CN14, terminal 3.
▶ With OS.85 compressors, the start signal may be
connected as an alternative to CN14:3 at CN9:1 or
CN7:5; always switch against a 24 V signal from the
compressor module.
▶ The start signal can also be transmitted directly via
Modbus to the CM-SW-01.
FI operation
The system electrics must be executed otherwise in
this case, see chapter Setting the communication for
compressor start in FI operation, page 53.
CM-SW-01 before serial number
815294000305LDXXXXXXX (previous version)
▶ In this module version, integrate the start signal
(K01) as a normally open (NO) contact in the safety
chain before of the module (path 8).
A stable FI operation is not possible with this version.
6.1.5
Control signal from superior controller
This is the cable connection of the capacity control set
point.
▶ Connect Modbus cable to terminal strip CN14.
▶ Or connect analog signal to terminal strip CN13.
In case of FI operation, the superior controller controls
the FI, see chapter Setting the communication for com-
pressor start in FI operation, page 53.
