Only MSA or persons or entities with written authorization from the manufacturer may repair the MSA stan-
chion or HLL components. Do NOT make unauthorized repairs, modifications, or additions to this product.
Use only exact replacement parts in the configuration specified by MSA.
If the stanchion is damaged or has been subjected to fall arrest forces or impact forces, it must be immedi-
ately removed from service and marked as "UNUSABLE" until it has been destroyed.

RESCUE AND EVACUATION:

to implement it. The rescue plan must take into account the equipment and specific training necessary to
make a quick rescue in all foreseeable conditions. If the rescue is from a confined space, the provisions of
OSHA 1910.146 and ANSI Z117.1 must be taken into account. It is recommended that a method for user
evacuation that does not include the assistance of other personnel be provided. This will usually decrease
the time to get to a safe place and the risk to rescuers. Because self-rescue may not always be possible,
the employer must have additional resources available to make a rescue if necessary.
Failure to obey these warnings can result in serious injury or death.
