4 Operating Software

With the DE4-CFG-200 software, you can define the param-
eters for the DF4 and DV4 series frequency inverters and the
DM4 series soft starters, and can also commission the
system. The key features of the DE4-CFG--200 operating
software are as follows:
• Simple commissioning due to the use of drive-specific
dialogs.
• Menu-controlled parameter setting in a parameters
dialog.
• Simultaneous representation of logical parameter groups
in a tree structure on the left of the screen together with
the associated parameters on the right in a similar way to
the MS Windows Explorer.
• Operation with the mouse or the keyboard including func-
tion keys.
• Configuring with or without connecting to the drive
controller via the serial interface (online/offline mode).
This allows drives to be pre-configured without needing to
connecting them first.
• Simple Interfacing to the interface module using an
RS 232 interface (present in all PCs) or an RS 485 inter-
face.
• Automatic recognition of the connected drive controller
when the DE4-CFG-1 software is loaded.
• Parameter definition of an individual drive controller. If
you are using the RS 485 bus and have connected several
drive controllers to the same interface module, you can
address each of the drive controllers individually in the
"Drives connected to bus" window.
• Simple fault-finding with a diagnostics dialog which
shows all important data on screen.
• Monitor window for representation of 8 key parameters
which are refreshed regularly. The values can be displayed
in various graphic formats (pointer instrument, bar chart,
histogram, plain text).
