h If you want to set the address using the interface module,
you must connect each drive controller separately in order
to assign it with a unique address.
It is also possible to set the device address (PNU 0009) and
the baud rate (PNU 0125) via the interface module.
h If you want to set the baud rate of the drive controller
using the interface module and operating software rather
than the optional LCD keypad, you must change the
settings of the operating software after doing this. Other-
wise the software can no longer receive the response from
the interface module because the drive controller immedi-
ately starts to transmit responses with the new baud rate.
Further procedure:
Now you can read all the parameters with each drive
controller.
In order to undertake write commands, the "Operating
mode" (PNU 0001) parameter on the drive controller must
be adapted. The various possibilities for this parameter are
described in the device specific documentation.
Peculiarities with DF4:
If the drive controller is operating with the mode PNU 0001
= 3 and the motor speed setpoint = 0, then QSP (quickstop)
is active. This prevents the drive from starting to turn unin-
tentionally. The QSP function can be switched off by setting
bit 3 of PNU 0135 to 0.
