No communication with the drive controller
Cause
The drive controller does not receive
commands. For test purposes, send commands
repeatedly from the control computer.
The yellow RxD LED should flash briefly on
receiving each command.
The drive controller does not send commands
For test purposes, send commands repeatedly
from the control computer.
The yellow TxD LED should flash briefly on
sending each response.

Remedy
If the yellow RxD-LED is not flashing,
• inspect the wiring.
and
• Test the control computer to make sure it sends
commands and that the operating software is
configured for the correct serial interface
Yellow TxD LED does not flash:
Controller address (PNU 0009) and baud rate
(PNU 0125) must be the same for both drive
controller and control computer. Check these two
parameters for both devices and configure to the
same value if necessary (do not use controller
address 00, 10, 20, 30, 90).
Yellow TxD LED flashing
Device addresses (PNU 0009) must be different for
all connected drive controllers.
• Make sure all addresses are unique; reconfigure
if necessary.
• Check the wiring to the control computer.
• In the case of the RS 485 interface and custom
software drivers, check the transmit handshake
routines. After transmitting the command, the
control computer must switch back to receive
mode within approx. 1 ms.
