5.1 Fitting the Loop handle

! Push the Loop handle first into the required position,
with screw (27) undone, then rotate into the precise
position required.
! To secure the loop handle, tighten screw (27) with a
screwdriver. We recommend the T-25 Torx key of
the enclosed combi key. During tightening, hold the
opposite nut with an open-ended spanner.
Note: Always install the safety end-stop (23) on the
operator side of the power trimmer. If you carry the
power trimmer on your r.h. side during use, install the
safety end-stop in l.h. orientation.
! Install the safety end-stop (23) on the loop handle
and secure with the spring clip (28).
5.2 Fitting the flexible shaft to the female
connection

! Pull off the red protector from both ends of the
flexible shaft (12).
! Insert the flexible shaft until it bottoms out inside the
female connection (16), and secure with screw (29)
and nut (30). The drive shaft quadrant must grip into
the driver of the female connection.
! Fit the thermal insulation over the clutch coupling.

! Pivot the clamping lever (31) forward at the engine
flange (11) and hold it there.
! Insert the flexible shaft (12) until it bottoms out.
! Release the clamping lever.

5.4 Electric and Bowden cable connections

! Push the corrugated hose retainers (15) onto the
flexible shaft.
! Insert the corrugated hose (incl. electric and
Bowden cable) (14) through the corrugated hose
retainers.

! Open the lid of the cable connection casing (13).
! Connect the electric plug-in connection and insert
the cable into the cable guides,
! hook in the Bowden cable
! Close the lid.
Under no circumstances must the corrugated
hose be under tension, otherwise the engine
will not run smoothly and the cutting tool may start up
when the throttle has not yet been pushed in – Risk of
accidents! Therefore, check before commencing work
that in the throttle idle position, the hook-in lever at the
carburettor is slack and touching the idle end stop
screw.
