Danger From Rechargeable Batteries and Batteries
■
Rechargeable batteries / batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Seek medical atten-
tion immediately if a battery has been swallowed.
■
Before inserting the battery pack, check whether the contacts are clean and clean
them if necessary.
■
Remove the battery from the remote control if it is used up or if you are not using
the device for an extended period. This way, you can avoid damages attributed to
leaking.
■
Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data.
■
If the rechargeable battery / batteries has / have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes
and mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch bat-
tery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant fresh water immediately and contact
a doctor as soon as possible.
■
Remove the dead rechargeable battery / batteries from the device immediately. Be-
fore inserting a new rechargeable battery / batteries, clean the contacts.
■
The rechargeable battery / batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a fi re, im-
mersed in liquids or short-circuited.
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
■
In the interest of your own safety, you should therefore inspect the device for damage
each time before you use it. It may only be used if it has no visible signs of damage!
■
The device should only be used if it has been completely assembled! The dust con-
tainer and the fi lters must be inserted.
■
Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer.
■
Before starting up the device, ensure that the fl oor is free of any objects lying around
that could get caught in the nozzle or prevent the device from cleaning. Ensure that
the device cannot get caught in cables or curtains.
■
Never place objects on the device.
■
Protect the device from heat, naked fl ames, direct sunlight, moisture, and collisions.
■
The dust container must be completely dried after washing before it may be rein-
serted.
■
Do not try to lubricate the rollers with lubricant or oil. This would cause dust and dirt
to increasingly adhere to the rollers.
■
Keep the device in a dry place at temperatures of between 0 and 40 °C.
