An ember stop of minimum 0.015" (0.4 mm) thick sheet steel extending 18" (457 mm) in front of firebox
door to 2" (76 mm) behind the cleanout of the chimney. The ember stop width must protrude a minimum of
8" (203 mm) from both sides of the furnace.

Carpet or other floor covering shall be removed before placement of ember stop sheet.
