STORAGE; USE AND MAINTENANCE
Please carry out an inspection of the visor screen and linkages at regular and also deployment-dependent
intervals. A damaged /scratched visor may no longer be used. It must be rendered unusable and replaced.
CLEANING AND CARE OF PANORAMA VISOR (PF 1000 EXTREME)
Clean the visor using only lukewarm water. Do not use solvents. Proper cleaning, care and handling of the
visor are prerequisites for its faultless functioning.
Visor temperature range
Between a lowest temperature of -30 °C and a highest temperature of 120 °C, the visor fulfils the relevant
requirements of the standard DIN EN 14458:2004.
OPERATING EYE PROTECTION VISOR
(OPTIONAL)
The eye protection visor can be opened by means
of a lever on the right and left. This is also ideally
suited for people wearing spectacles.

USE OF NECK PROTECTOR
The PF 1000 helmet series is equipped with a neck protector made of Nomex. This is folded into the
helmet and can be pulled down as and when required. Please fasten the two snaps for maximum comfort.
By means of the snap fastenings at 5 different points, further neck protection alternatives can be adopted
such as leather, luminescent or Holland cloth all-round neck protection.
AFFIXING HOLLAND CLOTH ALL-ROUND
PROTECTION
This is achieved using the five snaps along the inner
edge of the helmet inner shell and temple area by
means of the pins along the interior construction.

OPERATING PANORAMA VISOR
By depressing the right and left side, the Pano-
rama Visor can be made to drop down or retract
accordingly.

This is done by means
of the five press studs
along the helmet inner
shell (Fig. 12).

MOUNTING THE FLASHLIGHT
As an option, a flashlight holder can be fitted to each
of the helmet adapters (right /left) (Fig. 13).

REPLACEMENT OF PARTS
All the components in your helmet are designed for simplicity of replacement without the use of special
tools. The sweatband can be removed simply for cleaning or replacement. The supporting equipment can
likewise be replaced in its entirety by undoing the safety screws (Fig. 2/10). CASCO offers a variety of
accessories and spare parts for the PF 1000 series, please contact CASCO for information regarding its
current selection.

USE OF RESPIRATORY MASK
Please note that the interior construction is
perfectly suited for use with a respiratory mask.
There is no need to order this separately. The an-
gled form of the head band allows the respiratory
mask an optimum fit within the helmet (Fig. 14).
