I.3
MACHINE IDENTIFICATION
The units feature a serial number plate located on the side which
includes machine identification data.
I.4
INTENDED CONDITIONS OF USE
EWNLM units are monobloc air cooled water chillers with water-
cooled condensation.
EWNHM units are packaged heat-pumps with reversible refrigerant
cycle and water evaporation/condensation.
They are suitable in air conditioning installations where it is necessary
chilled water (EWNLM) or chilled and hot water (EWNHM), not for
human consumption.
IMPORTANT:
When the evaporator water output temperature is less than 5°C or a
geothermal application with a temperature less than 5°C it is
OBLIGATORY to specify the unit working temperatures when placing
the order (condenser and evaporator water input/output) for its correct
parameterisation.
The units are designed for indoor installation.
The units comply with the following directives:
○ Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE (MD);
○ Low voltage Directive 2006/95/EC (LVD);
○ Electromagnetic compatibility Directive 2004/108/CE (EMC);
○ Pressure equipment Directive 97/23/EEC (PED);
DANGER!
The machine has been designed and constructed
solely and exclusively to function as an air-cooled
water chiller or as a water-cooled heat pump: any
other use is expressly PROHIBITED.
The installation of the machine in an explosive
environment is prohibited.
DANGER!
The machines are designed for indoor installation.
Segregate the unit if installed in areas accessible to
persons under 14 years of age. If outdoor
installation is required, modifications must be made
which must be evaluated by our technical dept.
IMPORTANT!
The unit will function correctly only if the
instructions for use are scrupulously followed, if
the specified clearances are complied with during
installation and if the operating restrictions
indicated in this manual are strictly adhered to.

(*) Only the water output on the rejection side, working with
well/aqueduct water, can drop to 24°C. Contact the pre-sales office for
such conditions.
Maximum evaporator inlet water temperature 28°C for EWNLM and
25°C for EWNHM, in summer mode.
Maximum inlet water temperature condenser 50°C
Minimum water pressure 0.5 Barg (system side) 2 Barg (well/city
aqueduct side).
Maximum water pressure 3 Barg.
Temperature differentials permitted through the exchangers
○ Temperature differential at the evaporator ΔT = 3 ÷ 8°C
○ Temperature differential at the condenser : ΔT = 5 ÷ 15°C
○ Temperature differential at the condenser (city water): ΔT = 12 ÷
18°C.
ATTENTION!
Water at the inlet to the condenser at less than 25°C and ΔT less
than 12°C: it is advisable to install the pressure valve accessory (VP or
VPS).
○ When the water at the inlet to the condenser is less than 15°C (the
temperature differential ∆T permitted for city water through the
condenser is inclusive in the range 12 ÷ 18°C) it is advisable to install
the pressostatic valve accessory (VP or VPS).
IMPORTANT!
When the evaporator water output temperature is
less than 5°C or a geothermal application with a
temperature less than 5°C it is OBLIGATORY to
specify the unit working temperatures when placing
the order (condenser and evaporator water
input/output) for its correct parameterisation.
