CRANKCASE
3. Install:
9 Piston 1
9 Piston pin 2
9 Piston pin circlip 3
TIP
9 Make sure that the "FWM" mark a on the
connecting rod faces as shown.
9 Make sure that the " " mark b on the piston
head faces toward the push rod.

ASSEMBLING THE CRANKSHAFT

1. Make sure that the end gap of each piston
ring is positioned, as shown in the illustra-
tion.

b Upper oil ring rail
c Second ring
d Lower oil ring rail
2. Install:
9 Piston already assembled to connect-
ing rod 1
TIP
9
Make sure that the
piston head faces toward the push rod.
Make sure that the "PTO" mark b on the
9
connecting rod faces toward the crank-
case cover.
3. Install:
9 Crankshaft
9 Connecting rod cap
9 Nm (0.9 m · kgf, 6.6 ft · lbf)
TIP
Make sure that the " " mark a on the con-
necting rod is aligned with the " " mark b on
the rod cap.
4. Install:
9 Camshaft
9 Crankcase cover
Refer to "CRANKCASE COVER AND
CAMSHAFT".
