8. Disposal
Disposal
The unit is made of various metal and plastics. Before disposal, the device is to be
rendered unusable and it must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste in
accordance with local regulations. Use your local return and collection system for
waste electrical and electronic equipment (incl. batteries). Improper disposal may
have harmful effects on the environment and on public health.
Note
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class
B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed
to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined
by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Recycle your breast pump
Through the Medela Recycles program, Medela, Inc. provides customers the option
to properly recycle their breast pump after they've fi nished their breastfeeding
journey. For information on how to recycle your pump and to receive your prepaid
shipping label, visit www.medelarecycles.com.
This program is currently only available to U.S. residents. We only accept the return
of electric breast pumps. All other breast pump kit components (connectors, breast
shields, tubing, bottles, valves, membranes, and cooling elements) can be disposed
of in your waste management recycling container at your home. Cooler bags and
other soft-good items are not recyclable.
