Replacing Line Fuses

WARNING: Electrical shock hazard when enclosure is
removed. Always unplug the power cord from the electrical
outlet before cleaning or servicing.
CAUTION: PC boards contain static-sensitive parts. always
use appropriate ESD protection when enclosure is removed.
To replace the line fuses:
1. P ower off the scale and unplug its power cord from the
electrical outlet.
2. Remove the scale enclosure (see Disassembly on page 3-6).
3. Remove fuse from fuse holder (Fig. 3K) and replace with
1/4 amp, 250 Vac Slo-Blo fuse, Natus Medical catalog
no. 200021-581.
4. Reassemble the scale by reversing the steps described in
Disassembly on page 3-6.

Replacing Power Supply Fuses

The fuses are located on the power supply PCB.
To replace the fuses:
1. Remove the power supply PCB (see Removing Internal
Components below).
2. Carefully lift and remove the fuse (F1 and F2 on power supply
PCB drawing, see page 3-26).
3. Place a new fuse into position; only use appropriately rated
fuses, see Parts List on page 3-19.
4. Place the power supply PCB in its original position.
