Cautions

CAUTION: Read and be familiar with this instruction manual
before using or servicing the scale.
CAUTION: This product must be connected directly to a
hospital-grade electrical outlet.
CAUTION: Tray must be securely fastened to its base
before use.
CAUTION: Never leave the baby unattended.
CAUTION: Never use the scale to transport the baby.
CAUTION: To ensure correct weighing, tray or items in tray
must not touch surrounding objects. Avoid leaning against
or touching the weighing tray or baby while the weighing
is in progress.
CAUTION: If using a roll-around cart, always lock the
caster wheels before placing the baby in the tray.
WARNING: Explosion hazard. Do not use this product
in the presence of flammables (e.g., oxygen, nitrous
oxide, anesthetics).

Summary Instructions

To weigh a baby:
1. Press On/Off. Do not touch the tray until the "Standby" light
dims and zero appears.
2. Press gm/lb to select units.
3. Press 1 gm/5 gm to select resolution.
4. Press Zero (tare function) to cancel the weight of the blankets
or other objects on the tray.
5. Place the baby on the tray; weighing begins automatically.
6. Do not touch the tray or baby until the "Averaging" light dims
and the "Read" light illuminates; then, read the weight.
7. Press Reweigh to weigh the baby again.
8. Press On/Off to turn off the scale. If operating on battery power,
the scale shuts off automatically after five minutes.
9. If the scale is off, press Recall to display the last weight.
