Problems and Solutions
Schematics, wiring diagrams and PCB drawings are located at the
back of this manual.
Use the troubleshooting measurements, below, to test printed
circuit boards (PCBs) and components that are suspect of
being defective. For additional information, see Troubleshooting
on page 3-20.
NOTE: The scale will not zero unless the tray is in place.
Ensure that the tray is in place when troubleshooting.
Before performing troubleshooting measurements:
1. Disassemble the scale (see Disassembly on page 3-6).
CAUTION: To avoid risk of electrical shock when the
device is disassembled, use battery power, as required,
for troubleshooting.
2. Use appropriate methods to determine if voltage is present at
the electrical outlet.
3. Ensure that all fuses and connectors are properly seated.
4. Check the supply voltages on main and power supply PCBs as
shown in Fig. 3L. If any voltages are out of tolerance, contact
Natus Medical about replacing the defective PCB.
