Calibrate Before First Use: The Smart Scale was calibrated at
the factory in Seattle prior to shipment. Due to movement during
shipment and geographic variations in the force of gravity (which
can affect calibration by as much as 20 gm), calibrate the scale
before initial use.
Calibration Frequency: Calibrate the Smart Scale once every
12 months, at a minimum, or whenever a tray is changed.
Calibrate the scale more often if the scale is used frequently.
The scale's calibration should not drift by more than 1–2 grams.
If the weight has drifted significantly, consult Troubleshooting on
page 3 -20.

Calibration Procedure

To calibrate the scale:
1. Ensure that the scale (and cart) is on a firm, level surface
and is protected from moving air. For optimal operation, the
ambient temperature should be 70–75ºF (21.1–23.8ºC).
2. Press and hold Zero and then press On/Off. The current
software version (e.g., "CAL 1.0") shows on the display
(Fig. 3A), then "C 0" appears (Fig. 3B) while the scale
captures the zero point. Finally, "C 7500" appears (Fig. 3C).
