- Make sure that the wheel on which the tyre has been mounted is firmly secured to the turntable
using the centring handle 1 fig. 34. Also make sure that the tool-carrying head and the bead breaking
unit are well clear of the working area, if possible in a rest position.
- Connect the Doyfe inflator chuck 22 fig. 34 on the air hose to the air chamber valve stem, after
removing the cap. Inflate the tyre by pressing the corresponding Pedal 14 fig. 34 at short periods
of time.
The inner tube gradually expands inside the tyre. As this happens, push in the inner tube valve to
let out the air left between the tube and the tyre; this prevents deflation and any possible damage
to the tube.
- Inflate, taking utmost care that the pressure shown on the Pressure gauge display 17 fig. 34 NEVER
exceeds the pressure levels recommended by the tyre producer.
- Fit the cap to the valve to protect its internal mechanism from dust and ensure an airtight seal.
- Remove and unload the wheel as described in steps 11-12 of the "TYRE MOUNTING" section.
