COMMISSIONING

A particular attention should be taken in order to check the right balance of the units
in partial load (Booster versions).

To estimate the CO2 amount during commissioning, it is necessary to switch to the
Transcritical mode (stop the gas cooler fans to maintain a function close to 90/95 bar
at the MT compressor outlet or switch on the heat recovery if it is operational) to
ensure that the level in the liquid receiver is at the lower alarm cut-off.

Add liquid R744 only into the liquid line.
Do not charge liquid on compressor suction line. Only Gas.

Overfilling the system may cause malfunction and compressor damage.

In case of leakage detection and repair: empty the system completely and refill
according to the first filling charge. Also check the oil level.

The CO2 charge must be calculated so that the receiver volumes are adapted to
the characteristics of each installation.
Compressors start-up

It is preferable that the piping system be equipped with temporary suction filters,
knowing that CO2 is an excellent solvent and should be replaced after 24 hours if it
is dirty. If they are clean, remove them completely.

Check on the wiring diagram the voltage and type of the compressor motors used

Place an ammeter on a phase for compressors not equipped with a frequency drive.

Check the setting of the compressor protections with the values indicated on the
name plate.

Close the power switch or circuit breaker.

Start the compressor
–
The intensity rises to a maximum and must very quickly go down for all compressors
not equipped with a frequency inverter. If not, stop the compressor for checking and
detecting the fault.
