COMMISSIONING

– Do not use other than the designated refrigerant (for charging, adding or recharging).
– Prior to electrically connect the facility, make sure that the AC power line voltage
and frequency ratings correspond to the indications on the identification plate and
the power voltage is within a tolerance of + 10 % with respect to the rated value.
– Specific protection is provided according to the neutral system.
– Any on-site wiring must comply with the legal standards in force in the country of
installation (including grounding).
– Before turning on a device, make sure that:

– Check the tightness of the different nuts on fittings, clamps, cables and compressor
mounting. Indeed, the trepidations during the transport could have caused any
loosening.
– Also check if, for the same reasons as above, there is no pipe rupture. Also make
sure that the tubes do not come into contact with any metal parts.
– For Semi-hermetic versions, start crankcase heaters for each compressor 24 hours
before starting.
– Before commissioning a machine with integrated pressure vessels, it is mandatory
to open all the locked shut-off valves upstream and downstream and close all the
valves connected to the outside

Oil Charge

– It is necessary to follow the recommendations of the compressor manufacturer.
– It is forbidden to add a leak detector (dye or U.V. tracer for example) to the oil.
– Only the compressors are filled-up with oil from factory. The oil separator, the oil
receiver and other accessories are delivered without oil.
– The units are delivered with oil cans. Refer to appendix 3, «components delivered
separately» for more details. If the delivered quantity is not sufficient for the
installation, the installer must get oil from a local dealer or directly contact Profroid.
SH Version
– RECOMMENDED Oil: BSE 85K or C85E
– This oil (of the POE type) is totally miscible with refrigerant.
– In case of active oil management, fill the oil receiver up to the bottom of the upper
sight glass. The oil separator should also be filled-up, by the installer, with the
following quantities, using the VA11 service valve :

– For passive oil management, as a rule of thumb, the filling ratio of oil and refrigerant
in kg should be around 1:10 (in addition to the oil initially in the compressors).

elements, and remove them, if they exist.
