1. Introduction to the FTS
• The FTS is a complete system comprising 2 actuators and a control box.
• This system is used for unwinding or winding fabric between 2 tubes, while
controlling the tension.
• The fabric is unwound via a strap-drawn load bar to which the fabric is attached.
• One of the actuators is housed in the tube on which the fabric winds and unwinds. The other is
housed in the opposite tube on which the straps wind and unwind, by means of the guidance
pulleys.
• The operation of the 2 actuators is coordinated via a special control box, which also ensures:
• Dynamic fabric tension as it winds /unwinds.
• An end final tension.
