Connecting the Electrodes

Mount the electrodes and, if desired, a temperature sensor on the electrode
stand. The E190 Electrode Stand or the SAM7 Sample Stand are ideal for
setups with the PHM220. A description of the sockets on the rear panel is
given below.

ELECTRODE INPUT
Socket for an indicator electrode: a glass electrode or a combined pH/
reference electrode fitted with a BNC plug.
TEMP
CINCH socket for a temperature sensor.
REF
Banana socket to be used for a reference electrode. Note: must not be
connected if a combined electrode is in use.
REC
Socket for a recorder. For further information, please refer to Connection of
Peripherals, page 59.
