The use of this instrument may jeopardise the security of all living
beings (uses that may, for example, cause burns and electric
shocks...). These are considered as being improper and are therefore
forbidden.
If you are about to use your PHM220 for the very first time, it is
recommended that you now read the section entitled "The EDIT
Mode" on page 31. This will enable you to create a method to suit
your particular requirements. To carry out a calibration; refer to page
12.
A detailed description of pH and mV sample measurement procedures
can be found on pages 21 and 24 respectively.
1.
Connect the power cord to the PHM220. The PHM220 will now
run its autotest program; the first display shows the name of the
meter and the software reference.
2.
The Mode display will now follow:
Select pH or mV using the left or right arrow key.
Press the down arrow key to move to the next display.

Here you can now adjust the number of the next sample, using
either the left or right arrow key:
The PHM220 automatically increments the sample number each
time a sample measurement has been accepted and transferred
to the GLP tables.
The end of the display sequence is indicated by the up arrow on
the right-hand side of the display. Press the up arrow key or the
Mode key to return to the Mode display shown in step 2 above.
