• To check that the wheel is tight, raise the front wheel by lifting the
bicycle by the handlebars (Fig. 15) and strike the top of the wheel
sharply in a downward direction. The wheel should remain firmly in
place.
• Then repeat this check on the rear wheel by lifting the back of the
bicycle.
WARNING!
Do not change or otherwise tamper with the retainer edge (A -
Fig. 12 - Page 10) (if your fork is so equipped). This retainer edge
is designed to prevent wheel detachment in the event of loss of
clamping pressure of the nuts.
