therefore, some of the pieces have to be exchanged on the top of the cartridge.
2.1 REQUIRED MATERIAL
• t8 torx screwdriver
• 2mm hex key
• 2,5mm hex key
• 8mm nut
• loctite 241 (bolt lock)
2.2 DISASSEMBLING THE STANDARD CONTROLS
• turn the lever counterclockwise until it blocks
• loose the torx screw on the top of the red rebound damping wheel with the t8 torx screwdriver. secure the red wheel with your
fingers during this operation
• remove the red wheel
• loose the M5 screw nut with the 8mm nut
• remove the lever
2.3 ASSEMBLING THE REMOTE CONTROLS
• screw the M2,5x4mm cylinder head screw with the 2mm hex key in the specific hole in the top cap of the damping unit.
• place the remote spring with the long arm to the bottom inside the specific hole.
• place the steel insert on the regulation pin and on the spring, the top arm of the spring has to fit inside the small hole in the steel
insert.
• prestress the spring by turning the steel insert clockwise on about 360°. Use the 8mm nut for this operation.
• push the steel insert down and let it turn back until it blocks on the head of the screw.
• place the remote wheel on the steel insert and orientate it like on the picture below.
• tighten the M5 nut

control the function of the remote spring
• the remote wheel should turn freely on about 70° clockwise
• after being turned, the remote wheel should promptly get back to its position
• put the red rebound damping wheel back on the hex of the regulation pin
• put some loctite 241 on the thread of the torx screw
• push on the red wheel and make sure all the surfaces are fitting together
• tighten the torx screw with the t8 torx screwdriver
2.4 MOUNTING THE REMOTE LEVER ON THE HANDLEBAR
• the remote lever can be mounted on the right side as well as on the left side of the handlebar.
• in case of a carbon handlebar, apply some carbon mounting paste on the handlebar (art. nr. fXXXXX0XXX040717s).
• Mount the remote lever on the handlebar and tighten with the M3x8 bolt. please make sure the slot of the plastic ring matches the
opening of the clamp.
• cut the outer casing to the correct length. the handlebar has to turn freely once the cable, outer casing and pipe have been assem-
bled.
• choose the length of the outer casing of the remote lockout long enough to prevent the arrester on the crown to break in case of
exaggerated twisting of the handlebar (for ex. crash)
• Make sure the set screw on the pipe is fully screwed in
• feed the cable through the hole in the lever, the outer casing, the pipe and the crown. Make sure the outer casing and the pipe are
correctly placed.
• put the cable around the silver wheel and through the hole.
• pull on the cable with the hand so that everything gets into its place.
• tighten the cable with the hand and tighten the M4x4 screw with 1nm to clamp the cable
• remove the yellow warning sticker and switch the lever several times through the different positions
• set the tension of the cable with the setting screw on the pipe so that the lockout is activated when the lever is in position 3.
• cut the cable to the wished length and apply a cable ferrule at its end.
• put the cable behind the M2 screw.
