used in combination with one another. The Juzo Ulcer
Pro treatment set comprises a beige stocking (Juzo Ulcer
Expert) and two white liner stockings (Juzo Ulcer Liner)
that are used in alternation* and serve to hold in place
the wound dressing or bandage. When putting on the
Juzo Ulcer Liner, make sure there are no creases in it and
the bandage or wound dressing doesn't slip. These two
stocking components may be used as follows: The liner
stocking can be worn day and night on the affected leg
for continuous compression. The beige stocking is worn
on top of the liner stocking during the day to increase the
level of compression.
Notes for use
For compression stockings with open toes, use the Juzo
Slippie donning aid. Your specialist retailer will be happy
to show you the correct way to use the product. You can
also visit juzo.com/donning for video instructions relating
to all Juzo donning aids. Put your compression garment on
the decongested leg in the morning right after getting up.
Put on and put of your compression garment while sitting
down to prevent injuries or falling. Rough, unfiled finger
nails or sharp-edged rings etc. may damage the very fine
knitted fabric. We therefore recommend the use of Juzo
special gloves. Toe nails and calluses can cause damage,
as can defective inner lining of shoes.
Putting on the stockings (figs. 1 – 8)
1. To put on the white liner stocking, roll the stocking
over your forearm and continue to grasp the foot area
with your fingers from the inside while doing so. Pull
the stocking off your forearm to turn it inside out down
to the heel. Now use both hands to stretch the foot
opening and slip the foot portion over the foot to the
instep. Make sure the knitted heel area is located on
your heel. When putting on the liner stocking, please
make sure that the toe seam is located on the outside.
This protects the sensitive skin in the toe area.
2. Gradually slip the white liner stocking over your
foot – thereby turning it the right way round again.
3. Now pull up the stocking evenly and
creasefree – without twisting it or pulling on the top
band – and use the flat of your hand to shape the
stocking to your leg. If you pull the stocking up too far,
simply slide it back down to your ankle and slip it up
your leg again with less tension this time. Coloured
markings on the instep and heel help you to position the
stocking correctly.
4. Now pull the enclosed Juzo Slippie Donning
Aid over the foot until the shorter tab is located over
your instep and the longer tab is located on the sole of
your foot.
5. Next pull the beige stocking over the Juzo
Slippie Donning Aid until the knitted heel area is located
on your heel. While doing so, make sure that the end of
the donning aid continues to extend out the front of the
stocking opening in the toe area.
6. Next slide the stocking upwards in sections
towards the knee while using a flat hand to shape it to
your leg. Please note that the best wearing comfort is
obtained when the top band of the beige stocking is
located approx. 2 cm below the white liner stocking.
7. Finally, remove the Juzo Slippie donning aid
by pulling it forwards out of the foot portion.
8. Juzo Ulcer Pro treatment set after being
put on.
Taking off the stockings (figs. 9 – 10)
Do not take both stockings off at the same time, instead
first fold down the beige stocking, then pull it down over
the calf and carefully over the heel, instep and foot. Once
you have taken off the eige stocking completely, repeat
these steps to take off the white liner stocking.
Please note:
Only wear compression garments if they have been pre-
scribed by a doctor. Compression garments should only be
dispensed by properly trained staff at a medical retailer.
Your Juzo compression garments are largely resistant to
oils, ointments, skin moisture and other environmental
influences. The durability of the knitted fabric may be
affected by certain combinations of the above. This is
why it is advisable to have your compression garments
checked regularly at a medical retailer. Please contact
your specialist retailer in the event of damage. Do not
repair the product yourself – this may affect its quality and
medical effectiveness. For hygiene reasons, this product is
intended for one person only. The sewn-in textile label (if
present) is important for the identification and traceability
of the product. We therefore ask you not to remove the
label under any circumstances.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label sewn
into your compression garment. We recommend turning
compression garments inside out before washing. Wash
compression garments separately when washing for the
first time (they may lose colour). If possible, your compres-
sion garments should be washed every day on a gentle
or delicate wash cycle (Juzo Ulcer Expert: 40 °C, Juzo
Ulcer Liner: 60 °C). Tip: a laundry net provides additional
protection for the knitted fabric. Please do not use fabric
softener! When hand washing, rinse well and do not wring.
We recommend the gentle Juzo special detergent. You can
reduce drying time by placing the compression garment
on a thick towel after washing, tightly rolling the towel up
and firmly pressing out excess moisture. Then hang up the
compression garment loosely. Do not leave the product
in the towel and do not dry it on a radiator or in the sun.
Please use the delicates setting when drying the Juzo Ul-
cer Liner in the tumble dryer. The Juzo Ulcer Expert is not
suitable for tumble drying. Juzo compression garments are
not suitable for dry cleaning.
