11. Installing Tail Units and Wing

The elevator unit is held at the fuselage together with the rudder unit by a control unit holder installed in the
rudder unit. Due to the low material thickness, assembly must be performed carefully with the necessary
dexterity.
a) Installing the Elevator
Carefully put the elevator (2) into the elevator holder (1), see figure 5. The pattern points up and the rudder linkage
lever points down.
b) Installing the Rudder
Carefully push the rudder into the intended holders (see figure 5, item 3 and arrows). The control unit connector (figure
5, item 3) must noticeably latch in the holder of the elevator (figure 5, item 1).
c) Creating Rudder Linkages
Install the rods at the rudder (figure 5, item 4) or the elevator (figure 5, item 5). Here, you need to carefully attach
each linkage wire to the rudder horns of the rudder and elevator from the outside with long-nosed pliers. For practiced
pilots who desire a slightly larger deflection of the rudder or elevator, the linkage rods can be connected on the inside
(see arrow in item 4).
