5.7 CONFIGURATION OF THE PEDALS AND THE MIDI PEDALBOARD
(PEDALS FUNCTION)
In the PEDALS screen several functions are collected for the configuration of the pedals and MIDI
pedalboard eventually connected.
You can select the operation of the pedal connected to the [CRESC.] connector on the rear panel, calibrate
this pedal and the one connected to the [EXPR.] connector, if the operating range is not complete.
The instrument allows you to control the Crescendo also by receiving the MIDI message Control Change
n.11 (Expression), transmitted by an external unit, such as an expression pedal of a MIDI pedalboard. On
this screen, you can inform the system on which MIDI channel the CC11 is received.
For a correct operation, it is also necessary to inform the instrument about the presence of a MIDI
pedalboard connected to the [MIDI IN] port. In this condition the notes received on the MIDI channel
assigned to the Pedal section are transposed according to the setting of the TRANSPOSE parameter of the
main screen, they are not played if the Automatic Pedal is active, the velocity is recalculated according to the
setting selected in the VELOCITY SENS function (see par. 5.5), and are retransmitted on the [MIDI OUT]
port if you want send to an external MIDI device.
To display the screen containing the configuration functions, select the PEDALS item in the SETTINGS
