Speed Control set on a light setting.
Thermostat is set to low.
Supply voltage to unit is low.

toaster needs time to heat up when initially turned
on.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAzARD: Turn OFF power switch,
unplug power cord/turn off power at circuit breaker, and
allow unit to cool before performing any cleaning,
adjustments, or maintenance.
