ROUBLESHOOTING
If there is a problem, try the following suggestions. If the problem cannot be solved,
contact your equipment supplier or ResMed. Do not attempt to open the flow
generator.
Problem
Insufficient air delivered from
flow generator
Flow generator operating
erratically, ie, switching on and
off, pressure varying at random
Pressure rises inappropriately
Alarm stays on continuously
No LCD display
FAULT message displayed on
LCD
System Error 7 message
Possible cause
Air filter is dirty.
Air tubing is kinked or
punctured.
Water may have entered the
air tubing.
You are talking, coughing,
voluntarily breath-holding (eg
while rolling over in bed), or
intentionally breathing in an
unusual manner.
Severe mask leak or mouth
leak (greater than 30 L/min).
Blockage in air circuit.
Internal malfunction.
Power not connected or
switch at back is not on.
Internal malfunction.
Device power-on has been
interrupted by breathing into
the mask during warm up.
Internal malfunction.
Solution
Replace air filter.
Straighten or replace tubing.
Remove the water from the
air tubing.
Avoid talking with the mask
on, and breathe as normally
as possible.
Correct your leak condition.
Ensure there is no barrier to
the passage of air.
Return the device to your
equipment supplier for
service.
Ensure the power cable is
connected, and that the
switch at the back of the unit
is in the "on" position.
Return the device to your
equipment supplier for
service.
Turn the flow generator off
and on again. Do not place
mask on face during warm up
(30 seconds). Select LEARN
CIRCUIT (page 26). If the
error is not cleared, contact
your equipment supplier for
service.
Return the device to your
equipment supplier for
service.
