The A S CS2 system is intended to stabilise the ventilation of adult patients
UTO ET
exhibiting Cheyne-Stokes Respiration (CSR), or central sleep apnoea (CSA) associated
with congestive heart failure, with or without upper airway obstruction. It is also
intended for the use of patients with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

ONTRAINDICATIONS
The A S CS2 is not a life support ventilator and may stop operating with power

failure or in the unlikely event of certain fault conditions.
Before using the A
conditions:
acute sinusitis or otitis media
•
epistaxis (severe nose bleeds) causing a risk of pulmonary aspiration
•
conditions predisposing to a risk of vomiting into mask
•
impaired ability to clear secretions
•
hypotension or significant intravascular volume depletion
•
pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum
•
recent cranial trauma or surgery.
