Are all other conditions for perfect working met? Any
damaged protective equipment, etc. must be properly
repaired or replaced by authorised persons, unless
otherwise explicitly specified in the Operating
Instructions. Defective switches must be replaced by
an authorised service centre. Please contact your
local service centre for any scheduled repairs.
Caution! Using any other accessory equipment and
extensions not explicitly recommended in these
Operating Instructions may pose a risk to persons
and property.
Do not incline from your position
Avoid abnormal body posture. Make sure your
posture is safe and keep balance at all times.
Approved parts to be used only. Only identical
spare parts to be used for servicing and repairs. For
that purpose, contact an authorised service centre.
Time of using and breaks. Long use of a power
appliance may lead to poor blood circulation as a
result of vibrations. However, the time of use may be
extended by wearing suitable gloves or taking regular
breaks. Make sure that personal disposition to poor
blood circulation, low outdoor temperatures and big
pressure applied on the appliance when working
shorten the time of using the appliance.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable if its appliances
are used in an adjusted or unauthorised condition and
damages are incurred as a result.
Appliance-specific safety instructions
Pay attention to what you are doing. Use common
sense when working.

Children must be watched to prevent them from
playing with the appliance.
Never touch the lawn trimmer with wet hands.
Do not overload the appliance. Work within the specified
operating output at all times.
Never work with the lawn trimmer without the cover being
in place. Risk of injury by thrown-away items.
The engine must always be switched off before refuelling.
Open the tank cap with care at all times so that
overpressure could slowly get released and fuel does not
squirt. High temperatures are produced on the appliance
body when working with the lawn trimmer. Therefore, let
the appliance cool down before refuelling. Otherwise, fuel
could get ignited and persons burnt. When refuelling, make
sure you do not overfill the tank. If fuel flows out, it must be
removed and the appliance cleaned. After refuelling, check
whether the screw cap is tightened properly to prevent it
from getting loosened as a result of vibrations when
working
Switch the engine off before adjusting or servicing the
appliance. This especially applies to works on the cutting
head.

Safety instruction for putting the appliance into
operation for the first time
Make sure especially the following is provided:
Proper cutting head fitting
Light running of all switches
Safe socket plug fitting. If the socket plug is loose, sparks
may be produced and the outgoing fuel and air mixture
may get ignited.
It is necessary to make sure the handles are clean to
guide the lawn trimmer safely. Before starting the
appliance, all safety and protective equipment must be
fitted properly and be in place.
The cutting head must run freely.

the appliance, in particular. Keep your hand freely on
the additional handle at all times.
