Functional description

4.1

Mechanical functions

The ELADOS
driven diaphragm displacement pumps.
The membranes are for the pre-delivery, the piston is for the metering. Because of the
permanent overpuls refeeding this metering pump works self venting.
The metering pumps are suitable for use with clean, non-abrasive metering media with a
viscosity of up to 200 mPas (measuring manner: Brookfield).
The metering pump is operated by a non-blocking synchronous motor and a connecting rod-
eccenter gear.

Electronic functions

E 10 = on/off switch, mechanical stroke adjustment
The pump operates as soon as the voltage is applied and the mains switch is set to
'I'.
similar to E10, but with the addition of empty signal with low level advanced

and there is no empty signal on the level input.
E 20 = on/off/test switch, mechanical stroke adjustment, pulse input, empty signal with low
level advanced warning, empty signal output, stroke signal output
As soon as the voltage is applied, the mains switch is set to 'I', and there is no
empty signal on the level input, the pump makes a stroke with each incoming
pulse.
When the test function (hand symbol) is used, the pump operates until the
pushbutton is pressed.

EMP KKS series of metering pumps take the form of electrically (motor)
To protect the metering device, the use of a suction pipe with an empty reporting device
and dirt arrestor (available from our range of accessories) is highly recommended!
The empty reporting device switches off the pump if it falls below a certain level (in the
container).
When the diaphragms (pos. 1) moves towards the
gear, the valve (pos. 2) suck up the metering
product. Simultaneously, vacuum grow out of the
compression chamber of the metering piston
cylinder unit (pos. 3). When the inspection hole
(pos. 4) has been released, the pre-delivered
metering product flows into this chamber.
During the pressure motion metering happens over
the valve (pos. 5); the surplus product get returned
into the container by the return valve (pos. 6). The
stroke adjustment (pos. 7) regulates the volume
delivered during the operation from 0 - 100 %. This
changes the immersion depth of the cylinder. The
pre-delivered amount keeps constant.
