plug (fig. 11).
•
Introduce the double bit with handle (ref. 1952 003 245)
(fig. 12) and with an electric drill start drilling until the bit
does not reach the standstill (fig. 13). In this way you remove
the upper part of the glow plug.
•
Assemble the ¼" male with extension (ref. 1952 003 249)
on the tap wrench and begin the manual threading (fig. 14 -
15).
•
After completing the thread, use the guide-body (ref. 1952
003 241) + thread insert ¼" (ref. 1952 003 249) + nut
CH30 and start screwing (fig. 16 - 17); go on to remove
completely the glow plug (fig. 18).
•
Use male M10 included in the kit (ref. 1952 003 260)
(fig. 19) to renew the thread on which the new glow plug will
be assembled.
N.B. Strew the male with some grease to keep the scraps
and avoid that the scraps of the tapping enter the seat of the
glow plug.
Motors 2.2 - 2.5 dCi
•
If the glow plug is still intact and does not unscrew using the
standard spanner, use the Torx spanner supplied with the kit
(ref. 1952 003 248 + 1952 003 247), and try to unscrew
acting on the upper stem (fig. 1).
•
If the glow plug is already broken or the previous procedure
fails, drill and remove it.
•
Use the Torx bush to remove the upper part of the electric
connection.
N.B. During this procedure, all or part of the electric
connection could come out. In the first case do not drill and
carry out immediately the tapping.
•
Take the guide small tube (ref. 1952 003 248 + 1952 003
247) and introduce it into the remaining part of the electrode
(fig. 2). Use the bit Ø 3.5 mm to drill the electrode of the
glow plug.
•
Assemble the guide block for drilling (ref. 1952 003 243)
(fig. 20) fixing it to the motor using the two screws supplied
with the kit and centre the seat of the injector (fig. 21);
•
Introduce the double bit with handle (ref. 1952 003 246)
(fig. 22) and with an electric drill start drilling until the bit
does not reach the standstill (fig. 23). In this way you remove
the upper part of the glow plug.
•
Assemble the ¼" male with extension (ref. 1952 003 249)
on the tap wrench and begin the manual threading
