WATER SUCTION AND DISCHARGE

for model VC85BS
When the Auto-suction switch is positioned "ON", the pump primes water
automatically after engine started, and the following manual-operations of
(1) and (3) are not necessary.
(1) After starting the engine, pull the vacu-
um pump handle.
(2) Once water is present at vacuum
pump drain
completed.
Be sure pressure gauge shows posi-
tive side.
(3) Return the handle to original position.
Notes:
● If water is not present at the vacuum pump drain pipe within 30 seconds,
there may have troubles. Follow the trouble shooting table.
● When priming water from a source where is considerably lower than the
pump, suction may fail to bring water to pump.
● Never operate the engine more than 2 minutes without pumping water.
● If the elevation of suction hose does not follow a downward slope from
the pump to the water source, an air trap occurs and there could have in-
sufficient discharge volume. In such case, immediately re-prime the
pump.
When the air pocket stays trapped inside of suction hose, open the dis-
charge valve and operate vacuum pump 3-5seconds intervals until there
have smooth discharge water stream.
