To avoid improper fire pump handling, read and follow the notices below.
Do not start or operate the fire pump engine in
indoors. Area of operation must be well
ventilated. Exhaust gases contain carbon
monoxide, a colorless, odorless and gas which
can be fatal if inhaled.
Serious injury will result if pulleys, belt, or any
moving parts are touched while the engine is
running. Never touch these moving parts.
While engine is running, never touch the
high voltage ignition wire attached to spark
plug. This wire carries very high voltage
which will cause injury and bodily harm.
Do not touch the exhaust pipe and the
muffler while the engine is running, or for 10
minutes after the engine has been stopped.
These parts are very hot and will cause
severe burns.
