(5) Battery initial charge
The battery mounted on the engine can be used immediately after filling
cells with electrolyte enclosed with battery (It is recommended to charge
the battery using the automatic battery charger after filling electrolyte).
Do not add distilled water because this is a sealed type battery (main-
tenance free of electrolyte). Please refer to the INSTRUCTIONS on the
battery.
(6) Engine overheat protection sensor device
This device shuts down the engine automatically when the engine has
excessively heated caused by lack of cooling water.

Note:
The Overheat Sensor Switch should be always set in "ON" position.

"ON" side switch: The engine will stop and the
lamp will light, when the
overheat sensor works. The
caution buzzer will also
sound.
"OFF" side switch: The engine will not stop even when the overheat sensor
works. The lamp will light. The caution buzzer will also
sound.
Accordingly, even if the engine has stopped by an overheat, the engine can
be started if the switch is set in "OFF" position.
Besides, please observe the CAUTION mentioned in the next page.
