INSTALLATION
Clutch regulation (KM1800 and KM2500)
68
Installation Guide
The operator has an adjustable mechanical clutch in
order to limit the maximum torque (maximum gate
thrust).
The correct adjustment of the clutch is of vital
importance for the gate to stop when coming
across a possible obstacle, without producing
any injury or damage. Increased torque
produces a more violent impact.
Regulate the clutch at the minimum value possible,
compatible with the proper operation of the gate. To
do this:
1 Introduce the Allen key (1) in the adjustment
housing (2).
2 Turn the key until the notches of the frame (3) and
the housing (4) coincide.
3 Introduce a screwdriver in the resulting notch in
order to prevent the transmission tree from turning.
4 Turn the key clockwise to increase the clutch
transmission force, or anti-clockwise to reduce it.
KM1800 Operator: regulate the PM potentiometer
to the maximum (see"Potentiometer adjustment"
on page 74).
KM2500 Operator: if a control board with torque
adjustment is used, set it to the maximum level.
