2.1.1.2 Channel/Fader functions
Functions with fixed DMX values can be assigned to each channel. These functions can be activated with a
mouse click of the right mouse button.
Example:
Channel 14 is to be prepared for the colour change of a Twist-152 from MONACOR INTERNATIONAL.
First the table with the colour wheel functions of the manual of the Twist-152 should be available. Click the
fader 14 with the right mouse button. Select "New function for this channel" from the pull-down menu. First
the colour 'White' is to be entered as a new function. Enter the text 'White' into the input field and confirm
with 'OK'. The DMX value for 'White' has to be entered in the next window. Take the value for 'White': 0 -7
from the DMX list of the Twist-152. Always the first value of a function should be chosen, in this case '0'.
The next function is 'Yellow'. Proceed as described above. The DMX list shows the value range 27-33 for
'Yellow'. Enter the value '27'. After all colours and their values have been entered, the gobo channel will be
prepared. You will find the pictures of the gobos in the DMX list. It is useful to describe the gobo form when
creating new fader functions for gobos so that they can be selected faster during live applications. The third
gobo could e.g. be defined by 'circle of light points'. To save the created fader functions for later applications,
a library of these functions should be created. Under the menu item 'libraries' - 'create library' first indicate
the channel range for the new library. All fader functions of these channels and the fader designations are
then saved under the name entered in the next window. The libraries have the file extension 'bib'. The fader
functions are available again under the menu item 'libraries' - 'load library'..
After all colors and their values have been entered, the gobo channel is treated. Only the functions ‚Gobo A'
to ‚Gobo G' are included in the DMX list. It makes more sense to describe the gobo form when creating new
fader functions for gobos to be able to select them more quickly during live applications. Gobo B could e.g.
be described with 'Light spots in line'.
To memorize the created fader functions for subsequent applications, a library of these functions has to be
created. Under the menu item ‚Libraries'-‚Create Library' first the channel range for the new library has to be
stated. Then all fader functions of these channels and the fader designations are memorized under the name
entered in the next window. The libraries have the file extension ‚bib'. Under the menu item ‚ Libraries'-
‚Load Library' the fader functions are available again.
2.1.2 Master fader
The master fader only has an influence on certain faders or channels. It is useful that a light scene is
constantly controlled with dimmers from dark to bright via the master fader. However, in most cases it is
desired to control a scanner independent of the master so that the gobo disc will not stop between two gobos.
Therefore, only such faders are influenced by the master, the flash button of which has a red marking. To
mark a momentary flash button, keep the CTRL button pressed, and click with the left mouse button on the
desired button. The color of the channel number on the flash button changes to red. Now the output value of
this channel depends on the master fader position. The blue column in the fader changes its length depending
on the channel fader and the master fader. The label above the channel fader serves as an indication for the
DMX output value. The position of the fader button is maintained.
The master function can be cancelled the same way as described above.

2.1.3 Flash buttons
The flash buttons below the faders have several functions:
-1. The flash function, i.e. the corresponding fader receives its maximum value when actuating this button. If
the button is released, the fader falls back to its previous value.
If you click the flash button with the right mouse button, it is possible to define the button function as a flash
button (the value returns to its original state after releasing the button) or as a switch (the value remains at
maximum or minimum after releasing the button). Simply enter in the input window an "f" for flash button or
