MAINTENANCE

8.1

Maintenance of the pH and Redox sensors

The submerged sections of the sensors:
should always be submerged in liquid (tap water or pool water), even when not in use,
should never be touched with fingers,
should never be wiped,
should never be allowed freeze
should be de-scaled when necessary
During use, scale can build up on the pH and Redox sensors or a greasy deposit can form on the tip. This
can lengthen the response time of the sensor.
Remove the sensors regularly from their housing to inspect their tips.
NEVER RUB OR WIPE THE TIPS OF THE SENSORS TO CLEAN THEM.
If necessary, de-scale the sensors by soaking them in solution of 10% Hydrochloric acid for a few minutes.
To degrease the electrodes dip them in soapy water. Rinse well after degreasing.
After de-scaling or degreasing the electrodes, they should be recalibrated.
