CHLORINE STABILISATION

The Chlorine introduced into the pool by the Chlorine generator cell is non-stabilised active Chlorine that
is easily destroyed by UV light and heat.
To limit this phenomenon while the pool is uncovered, add a Chlorine stabiliser (Isocyanuric acid) to
achieve a concentration of approx. 15 to 30 ppm is recommended. Refer to supplier information to
calculate the amount of stabiliser to be added.
The Chlorine stabiliser does not break down over time; if the pool was disinfected with Chlorine before
the Chlorine generator was installed, measure the initial stabiliser concentration before adding any more.
Excess stabiliser (above 40 ppm) will block the action of Chlorine and falsify measurement of the Redox
potential.

STARTING THE CHLORINE GENERATOR

The operating mode will differ, depending on the options installed.
If the Redox kit is not installed, Chlorine production will need to adjusted empirically such that the free
Chlorine concentration in the pool water remains between 1.0 and 1.5 mg/L. The free Chlorine concentration
can be lowered to between 0.6 and 1.0 mg/L if the salt concentration is between 1.5 and 2.5 g/L in the
case of LS models. The Chlorine concentration will need to be measured regularly in order to act in the
event that these levels are exceeded, notably if the bather load is low, the weather is cloudy or the water
temperature is low.
If the pH kit is not installed, measure the pH regularly as the pH will rise slowly and gradually. If the pH rises
above 7.5, lower it to 7.0 by adding pH reducer.
In the event that both kits are installed, the pH and Chlorine concentration will be adjusted automatically,
and interventions by the pool owner will be limited to the calibration of the sensors and filling the holding
tank with pH reducer.
Lastly, the Wi-Fi module allow the device to be monitored and controlled from a Smart dev ice.
The Chlorine generator start button is located underneath the control panel on the left-hand side.
Upon start up the following screen is displayed:
Note: on LS models, the production rate in displayed in as a % of the maximum production rate, not in g/h
