Do not place any containers filled with liquid, e.g. vases or plants, on or next to the charger. Falling over
could destroy the charger, moreover there is a high risk of fire.
Never leave the product unattended while operating. Despite a considerable number of protective circuits,
it is impossible to exclude the possibility of malfunctions or problems when charging a battery.
Only operate the product in moderate climate, never in tropical climate. For more information on accept-
able environmental conditions, see the chapter "Technical Data".
Select a stable, flat surface which is large enough and clean. Never place the battery charger and the
battery on a flammable surface (e.g. carpet). Always use a suitable, non-flammable, heatproof surface.
Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation during operation. Never cover the battery charger and/or the
connected battery. Leave enough distance (at least 20cm) between the charger, the battery and other
objects.
Never operate the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a warm room. Under
certain circumstances the resulting condensation may lead to malfunctions or damage! Allow the charg-
er (and the battery/batteries) to reach room temperature before connecting the charger to the power sup-
ply and using it. This may take several hours!
Services, adjustments and repairs may only be carried out by a specialist/specialist workshop. The device
contains no parts that require servicing or adjusting.
Handle the product with care - hits, knocks or falls from even a low height can damage the product.
Avoid operating the product near:
- strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields
- transmitter aerials or HF generators,
This can affect the control electronics.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediate-
ly and make sure it is not unintentionally operated. It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer
possible if:
- the device shows visible damage,
- the device no longer works and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly since such materials can become dangerous
toys in the hands of children.
You should also observe the safety instructions in each chapter.
