Fit exhaust air connections that are not connected
to an exhaust air line with a silencer.
Provide unused connections with blanking plugs.
5.5.1 Supply pressure and exhaust
The compressed air system supplies the valve system either via
the connection piece connections or the end plate (supply
pressure and exhaust, as well as pilot air and pilot exhaust).
You can connect the supply pressure in two ways:
Via connection 1; connections 3 and 5 will then work
as exhaust air connections.
Via connections 3 and 5; connection 1 will then work
as exhaust.
The printed valve function symbols do not apply
if the supply pressure is supplied via connections 3 and 5.
The following applies instead:
– A 3/2 directional valve, normally open, will function
as a 3/2 directional valve, normally closed.
– A 3/2 directional valve, normally closed, will function
as a 3/2 directional valve, normally open.
– On 5/3 directional and 5/2 directional valves,
the solenoid/LED 14 will be assigned to compressed air
connection 2 and the solenoid/LED 12 will be assigned
to compressed air connection 4.
