c) Inspecting the Ship's Propeller
Check the ship's propeller and its counter-nut for tight fit and damage before any voyage.
A damaged ship's propeller must be replaced before operation. If this is not observed, the ship's propeller may come
loose or break apart unintended in operation. There is a danger of further damage to your model. The model will also
no longer be controllable.
On the ship's propeller, also observe further information in the chapter „Replacing the Ship's Propeller".
d) Inspecting the Outboard Motor Linkage
Check the linkage for tight fit and damage before any voyage. A damaged or loose linkage (e.g. loose screws) must be
repaired before the voyage.
If this is not observed, the linkage rods may come loose unintended in operation. There is a danger of further damage
to your model (e.g. the steering servo blocks). The model will also no longer be controllable.
Also observe the following notes in chapter 9.
Screw connections between metal parts must be secured against unintended loosening either with so-
called stop nuts or with a drop of threadlocker varnish.
