14. Care and maintenance

a) General Information
Check the rudder linkages and the control functions of the servos on your model regularly. All moving parts have to be
easily movable but there should not be a clearance in the bearing.
Apply a drop of oil on the front and rear motor shaft bearing at regular intervals.
Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use aggressive
cleansing agents or chemical solvents, since this might damage the surfaces.
b) Changing the propeller
If the model hits on a rock or similar upon landing, the
propeller may be damaged and has to be exchanged. For
this purpose, a matching spare propeller is enclosed to the
model.
First pull off the black plastic tip (1) of the spinner. Then
remove the attachment screw (2) and pull the spinner (3)
off towards the front.
Now you can lever off the central propeller piece from the
motor shaft with a large, flat screwdriver.
Then slide the new propeller center piece (4) onto the
shaft.
Warning!
The center piece may not be slid on so far that it drags on the motor attachment screws.
Once the propeller center piece fits correctly, secure it with a bit of instant glue. To do so, let a drop of glue run into
the boring (5) in the central propeller piece.
After you have slid on the spinner and screwed it in place, reattach the spinner cap.
Important!
When replacing mechanical parts use only original spares available from the manufacturer.
The spare parts list is located on our website www.conrad.com in the download section for the respective
product.
You can also order the replacement parts list by phone. The contact information is included at the beginning
of these operating instructions, chapter "Introduction".
