7. Connection

The surveillance camera is equipped with a connection cable with two connectors on the end.
The video signal is provided via the BNC connector e.g. so it can be recorded on a DVR. Use a
suitable adapter if you cannot use a BNC video cable.
The camera is connected to the external power supply via the round socket (direct current,
12 V/DC). A suitable round plug is needed for the connection, outer diameter 5.5 mm, inner
diameter 2.1 mm. The outer contact of the round plug should be Minus/"-", the inner contact
Plus/"+".
Improper connection or connecting to the wrong voltage may damage the camera;
loss of warranty!
If you install and use the camera in outdoor areas, the two connectors must be placed
in a location that is protected from moisture. For this purpose, see chapter 6. If this is
not observed, the connectors will corrode!
Configure your DVR and the monitor connected to it so that the surveillance camera image is
displayed.

Important!

The surveillance camera comes with "AHD" mode preset by default. Your DVR must
therefore be configured accordingly or support an AHD video signal. Otherwise, no
image will be displayed or only image interference.
Once you have the correct display on your monitor, you can adjust the surveillance camera
precisely so that the desired screen section can be seen and recorded to your DVR.
In the dark, the IR LEDs on the surveillance camera are activated automatically. However, the IR
light is not visible to the human eye. Please bear in mind that the image on a connected monitor
will not be displayed in colour at night but in black and white instead (can be configured in the
surveillance camera's OSD menu).
